Car Rental From Dublin Airport

Taxi from Dublin Airport is a quicker option but very expensive and the price would be €300 one way. It would take roughly 2 hours.

By Bus or Bus & Train
Dublin Airport to Ballinasloe
Option 1 Bus : Citylink Route 763 from Dublin Airport Zone 11 (outside Terminals 1 & 2)
- Departure Times: 6:30 AM, 8:30AM 11:30 AM, 1:30 PM, 3:30 PM, 5:30PM, 7:30PM, 9:30PM
- Direct Bus
- Duration: 3 hours
- Fare: €25
- Pros: No transfers needed; convenient if your arrival aligns with the schedule.
- Cons: Lengthy trip
Option 2 Bus & Train Combination :
- Take an airport bus to Heuston Station 45 minutes, then a train to Ballinasloe 1h 35 mins:
- Train from Heuston to Ballinasloe runs every ~3 hours, journey ~1 h 35 min, fare €13-20
- Duration: 2 to 3 hours
- Pros: Slightly more frequent train timings.
- Cons: Requires a transfer & may involve wait times at Heuston train station.
